Lock to Lock Ride 2017

25th Annual Lock to Lock Ride ReCap and Raffle winners.

05/22 - 12:15pm
Thank you all for coming out and celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Lock to Lock Ride.  We talked to my dad up above and asked if he could pull some strings on the weather for us.  Well, taking a chance, as he would've done, paid off big as our prayers were answered.  We had great conditions for the ride and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.  Sometimes in life you have to take risk to be rewarded and we appreciate all of you rolling the dice!

Pulling this ride off is a big task and it is an army of people making it happen.  So thank you to everyone behind the scenes, in the trenches, and on the ride.  We were able to put on another great show this year thanks to all of you!

Each year we ask for feedback regarding the ride.  So please email us your feedback, good or bad, and help us continue putting on a good event.  One suggestion from last year was multiple raffles.  So we pulled tickets in 2 waves, plus held back a few items for those that weren't present.  So here are the remaining winning raffle numbers:  313836, 313834, 313855.
You've got until Saturday, May 27th at 4pm to claim your prizes.

Lastly, we took a lot of pics and we hope you did too.  Tag the shop online and use #locktolockride.  Stay tuned to our Flickr page as we'll be uploaded pics from the event over the next day or two.  Here's the link:

Thank you again for supporting the ride and we look forward to seeing you all next year!

05/21 - 9:15am
The wheels are in motion...we're going for it!  Check in at Savannah Rapids Pavilion as planned.  If anyone prefers not to roll the dice, be at check in to pick up your tee and meal ticket between 12:30pm and 1:30pm, then you can drive to the New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam.  We're shooting to have lunch ready at 3pm at the last shelter in the back of the park on the left.  We look forward to seeing you all in a bit!

05/20 - 12:15pm

As of right now, we're carrying on with the original plan of action for the day.  However, if the forecast holds (remember it's May in Augusta and stranger things have happened) and the storms move in, we'll shift into plan B.  The plan of action will be posted here as soon as possible on Sunday.  As many of you know, sometimes you have to watch the radar and wait until the last minute to make the decision.  We had a similar forecast a couple years ago and it all went North of us, so think positive and keep your fingers crossed.
Now for Plan B, same check-in times as currently scheduled, but a different location.  Everything will move to the Julian Smith BBQ Pit by Lake Olmstead, .  We'll distribute the water bottles to the first 200 folks to show up, all pre-registrants will get their t-shirts, and we'll have the cookout by Greig from Fireside Outdoor Kitchens & Grills around 2:30pm.

So stay tuned here for all Lock to Lock Ride updates.

The weather is looking sketchy so we need everyone to stay positive!  If the weather keeps us from riding, watch here for the rain plan.  Everything will most likely go on as planned, minus the riding part.  It's Summertime so a lot can change in a short amount of time!

Great for the kids!
