2016 Moonlight Time Trial
6th Annual Moonlight Time Trial Thursday, February 11th |
| We weren't able to pull off the Moonlight TT in 2015 due to weather and trail conditions, but that won't stop us from trying again! Get ready for the most prestigious race in all of the land! Behold, the 6th Annual Moonlight Time Trial! It's a 2-shot (one CW lap and/or one CCW lap), run what you brung, no designated classes (unless we have more than one female, then we'll have a men's and women's class), mountain bike time trial on the Canal Singletrack. Come out and join the party, uh, we mean race, and have some fun! To make things interesting we're giving a time bonus to anyone who races in costume. We expect full get-ups, see the pic above. More elaborate and creative costumes will be considered for greater time bonuses. David Bowie inspired costumes will get extra time bonuses. We'll have a fire going, so bring your favorite hot, or cold, beverage. Race Details -$2 Race Fee - Purse to be distributed across the top 3 spots. Bring exact change. -Thursday, February 11th. Registration at 6:30pm, race at 7pm. -All racers must wear a helmet and have a headlight. -Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse will have a couple Niterider Demo Headlights available for those that want to try some night racing action. You must reserve your light via email prior to the race.. -"Trophies" for first through third, if you race both directions. -Feel free to park at AJBW and ride to the trail. Other recommended parking lots are at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, KROC Center, Lake Olmstead, or at Eisenhower Park (the closest lot). -In the event of rain or poor trail conditions, the race will be postponed.
